Why are bigha, biswa and kattha missing?

The size of a bigha, biswa or kattha is different in different states, and sometimes in different districts. We add them only with the state shown, after the value is checked against official records. Until then, convert using your land record's area in square feet, square yards or square metres.

What does it assume?

  • Marla and kanal use the Punjab and Haryana standard (1 marla = 272.25 sq ft, 1 kanal = 20 marla). Check your local revenue record.
  • Ground is the Tamil Nadu unit of 2,400 sq ft.
  • Cent and guntha follow from the acre: 1 acre = 100 cent = 40 guntha = 43,560 sq ft.
